Receptionists

Michelle Miller
Michelle joined the PFAH team in September 2007 as a receptionist under the advice of her technician friend, Rebeccah. She is also a full time student at Kennesaw State University. Michelle is the proud mom of 2 small dogs with large personalities, Theodore and Foxy, who share a town home with her sister. If it weren’t for her sister’s allergies, she would add a feline to the family too.

Denise Bowick
Denise began working at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital in September, 2002 as a receptionist and has been the Front Office Manager since November, 2006. Prior to joining the team, Denise was a PFAH client for 5 years. Denise has a B.S. in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and several years of technical experience in the corporate world. Her other interests include playing guitar, yoga, pilates and knitting. She currently lives in Marietta with her husband and “mutt-i-gree” dog, Petunia, a Pekingese mix. An animal lover since childhood, Denise believes she’s finally found her true calling and is proud to be part of the PFAH family.

Jennifer Spiegel
Jen "Spiegs" Spiegel is originally from Beaufort, SC, and completed a bachelor's degree of History at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She & her husband, Rob, moved to Atlanta in 2001, where she has been pursuing the completion of pre-vet requirements, and is currently attending Southern Polytechnic University. She began working at her first veterinary hospital in 1999, then worked at another animal hospital in West Cobb for 5 years before coming to Powers Ferry Animal Hospital in May 2006.
Jen has 5 fantastic animals: Brock Sampson, a doberman mix adopted 3/09; Lola Frog, a dwarf English bulldog, was found on the side of the road near Kennesaw Mountain in 7/03. She acquired her three cats, Orangello, Goose, and Egg Roll from working at animal hosptials. She would like to have more animals, but that would mostly likely result in the end of her marriage ;-)

Jill Rainey
Jill began working at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital in February 2011, after two years of being a regular PFAH client. An Atlanta native, she holds a B.S. in Biology from Clayton State University and worked in the field for several years before working with animals. Jill shares her home with her husband and two fabulous dogs: Austin, a Shepherd mix and Mariette, an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Both dogs were adopted from a rescue organization. In her spare time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.
